You loved our ink so we couldn't resist creating something for the Coronation of King Charles III.
We took inspiration from the official Coronation emblem. The Emblem itself pays tribute to The King’s love of the natural world, unifying the flora of the four nations of the United Kingdom; the rose of England, the thistle of Scotland, the daffodil of Wales and the shamrock of Northern Ireland.
The design has been created using the red, white and blue of the union flag.
To complement this we worked with Diamine to create a fabulous red ink with a delightful blue shimmer. We've also used the ingenious 50ml Blue Edition Ink bottles for this one, yes the funny little ones with the stubby legs - we love them!
Diamine has manufactured in England since 1864. Their ink is among the finest available; it's safe to use in all brands of fountain pen, even the shimmery ones and the sheening ones (but probably best to give your pen a bit of a rinse after use, just to be on the safe side). All the inks are water-based, acid-free, non-toxic and vegan-friendly. They're superb.
